Fractions: Sharing The Cheese Cakes

The boys and girls were given 1 cake each to share among themselves.


Planning how to divide the cake



Led by the class monitors and Maths monitors, they cut up the cakes.



Result? The girls had extra slices of cake left and the boys did not have enough slices to share among themselves. Good try though.

Our Personal Clocks: Integrating English & Maths

Stellar Learning Centres

Background:

Learning Centres are designated areas in the classroom where small groups of children at similar progress levels can gather for the reinforcement and extension of Shared Book Approach (SBA) and Modified Language Experience Approach (MLEA) lessons. The children work independently while the teacher focuses on a group that needs further specific instruction.

Assembly Program " Tree Neighbours"



We had a puppet show during assembly on 12th August 2009 and learnt how the different animals living near to one another cooperate to make their neighbourhood a better one to live in.
